Vermont Balloon Class

Vermont Balloon Classes

Buddy the Clown offers beginner, intermediate and expert Vermont balloon classes. All classes are hands on, and you will learn how to become a balloon artist by live proffessional instruction in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 people so that everyone gets a chance to recieve individual instruction during the class time. Balloon instruction is offered for all ages, however I recommend seperate classes for those under 10 years of age.

Below is a few commonly asked questions.

Q:Why should I take a balloon class?

A: A balloon class will teach you how to make balloons and bring fun to almost every situation. Wether you want to be a proffessional balloonist or a grandparent that wants to bring balloons to family events. Balloon twisting instructions in a class setting is for you.

Q:What kind of balloons do you use?

A: I use Qualatex 260 balloons. I have found these to be the highest quality and show the strongest durability of all the different balloon manufactures and sizes. However during the class I will show different types of balloons and what they are used for. These balloons cannot be bought at big box stores and normally cannot be found at party stores either. Each beginner class comes with a bag of balloons and a proffessional pump.

Q: Why do you recommend a live class over other instructional media?

A: I found that when I learned how to make balloons, that following an instructional book, sound media as well vhs (Hey! that wasn't that long ago!) was often times confusing and not very clear. It is proven that live teaching helps you learn and remember the fastest. The beginner courses, I definitly recommended a live class. Once you learn the basic concepts it is easier to use other instructions. I reccomend DVDs' now over anything else.

Q:What is the hardest balloon sculpture that you teach?

A: Since there is 3 different skill levels, I teach the hardest balloon sculpture per skill level that I know that you can master. In the beginner levels it may be a motercycle, in the intermediate a butterfly, and in the expert, princesses. However I find that every class is different. That is why I keep classes to an average maximum of 30 people so that everyone gets a chance to have personal interaction and learn at their pace.

Q:Do you recommend any further instructional literature/classes?

A: I absolutely do, I can only teach you so much. Even with the expert classes I do not have time to be able to teach everything. I am in the process of making my own instructional media a long with recommending a few as well.

Q: I notice that your in the Northeast, do you travel outside that as well?

A: Absolutely, I do classes across North America and over seas. Wether your a school or a Clown Alley or Convention I offer balloon instruction. However each circumstance is different so please contact me before you start organizing an event. Also, check my calander and see if I will be hosting a class near you!

Q: Do you do summer camps?

I really enjoy instructing summer camps, however because of Buddy the Clown as my alter allius I am normally booked far ahead. I work well and have qualifications to be able to instruct younger children to the age of 6. Contact me for more information

Q: Do you teach any other classes?

At the moment I don't. I am well rehearsed in the areas of magic, unicycling and entertainment marketing. However for the moment I can give you information on some of the experts in those fields that teach classes near you.
