Birthday Party Planning Tips

Planning a party can be a laborous thing to do, often times it's hard to find good fresh ideas, high quality entertainment and even what kind of food to offer. When done right, it is very rewarding to see the happy faces, hear the compliments and be remembered for years to come.

The main focus of this article is, Birthday Party Planning Tips for age 15 and under. While there is usefull information that can be true for older ages, the tips that I have gathered are from experience working at 100s of birthday parties across the country.

Tip 1: Holding the Birthday Party Indoors at Home may not be the Best Idea.

Keep in mind that the kids you will have are going to be filled with sugar, have sticky fingers and will be moving at rather high speeds. While your house may seem to be the most convenient, it can also be the most dangerous. It may be the easiest to have all the food and games, but normally you'r the only one thats going to be left to clean the cake out of the carpet. There is numerous other places that can be used, like your local fire department building, town hall or gymn. Normally the cost to rent these for a day is minimal, and there is plenty of open space for kids to use all their excess energy. Outside is a great place to hold a party as long the weather cooperates. Keep in mind though, that while it may not rain, high heat and wind can cause discomfort with cups and plates flying across the field and icecream bars melting before they are enjoyed.

Tip 2: Always Open Gifts Last.

This is something that tends to cause a lot of problems if not thought out. Your child has waited an entire year to get his/her gifts and will be greatly dissapointed if that during the duration of the party his toy gets broken, you may have to console him for a while and that's not something you want to have to do on the special day. If you open the gifts before games or food, your child is going to have a hard time focusing for a picture or even for an entertainer no matter how good they are. Lastly, the birthday gifts are of course the birthday child's, I have witnessed to many arguments caused by children wanting to borrow the new present and focusing more on the gift rather then birthday child.  This is probably one of the most important tips. Birthday gifts last!

Tip 3:
